Duties
Procure supplies and equipment to support Fire and Emergency Services.
Use the Government Purchase Card (GPC) to procure supplies, equipment, and services.
Maintain an automated supply system for accounting of supplies and equipment.
Determine stock level of supplies and equipment.
Prepare for the execution of an annual inventory schedule of accounts.
Maintain the property book to reflect all items of property with components received, issued or otherwise disposed.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must possess a valid US driver’s license in order to obtain and maintain government driver’s license and operating certificates for various vehicles and materiel handling equipment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes utilizing automated systems in ordering, tracking, preparing documents, and maintaining inventory; submitting purchase orders of supplies or equipment; reconciling incoming inventory with shipping receipt; assisting in issuance of supplies; utilizing company purchase card to procure equipment and/or supplies; and assisting in property book management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
