This position serves as a Supervisory Program Application Specialist (PAS), providing direct leadership to our Inpatient Operations Section that includes 24/7 operations in the Emergency Room, Administrative Officers of the Day, Ward Administration, and Patriot House (Hoptel) and coordination with Enrollment and eligibility, transportation, and scheduling throughout the organization.

Duties will include, but may not be limited to the following:
Serves as the integrator that coordinates the business process and software functions.
Provides continuous business oversight for a variety of software programs integral to the overall administration and operations of the business and effects programmatic changes at the facility level.
Plans and carries out projects to improve the efficiency and productivity of the Medical Center Area of Health Administration Service (HAS).
Identifies, analyzes, and makes recommendations to resolve problems and situations that may require substantially altering existing systems or establishing criteria.
Portions of broader studies or participate in the evaluation of program effectiveness maybe assigned and asked to develop detailed procedures and guidelines to supplement established administrative regulations or program guidance.
Makes recommendations that may influence decisions by managers concerning the internal administrative operations.
Plans and schedules ongoing production-oriented work on a quarterly and annual basis, or direct assignments of similar duration.
Oversees the development of technical data, estimates, statistics, suggestions, and other information useful to higher level managers in determining which goals and objectives to emphasize.
Identifies developmental and training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training.
Performs other duties assigned.
Work Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday; 8:00a.m.-4:30p.m.

Qualifications
GS-12: Possess one (1) full year of specialized experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized Experience:Experience in developing data collection methods and organizing, compiling, summarizing, and analyzing the collected data into reports; Coordinating program resources (i.e., personnel, space, equipment, supplies); Maintaining records, preparing project administrative and statistical reports, assuring compliance with review process, and monitors compliance with program requirements; Designing and developing training materials, local standards operating procedure manuals, developing and utilizing monitoring tools. IMPORTANT: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. All experience listed on your resume must include the month and year start/end dates. Physical Requirements: Regular and recurring work is mostly sedentary involving sitting at a desk, although the position requires the ability to move from one geographic location of the facility to another. The incumbent works with a computer screen and keyboard. Some physical effort such as standing, walking, bending or prolonged sitting may be required. The incumbent may be exposed to walking to outlying areas. The work places no special physical demands on the employee.
Work is performed in an office setting with occasional visits to areas within the service as well as throughout the Medical Center. Work area is adequately lighted, heated and air conditioned. The normal risks and discomforts typical of an office and clerical work area are included. There are no unusual risks or safety hazards associated with this position.
