Duties
As a Management Information Specialist, you will:
Assess requirements and facilitate changes to meet strategic business requirements while sensitizing CPD and its business partners to the realities of current and future technical architectures.
Prepare statements of work (SOW), requests for information (RFI), and requests for proposals (RFPs).
Actively participate in the creation of an Information Technology Project Management structure that will effectively and efficiently ensure that projects are well documented, effectively planning with appropriate resources, and successfully brought to completion.
Maintain effective communication with IT management representative regarding developments that may impact the organization portfolio and strategic plans; and interface with all levels of project and client teams to provide clear advice through application of best practices and methodologies.
Perform other special assignments on an 'as needed' basis as assigned.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Acting as a project leader for the development of new systems, or the maintenance of and modifications to existing systems; AND
Providing or coordinating analytical products and services (such as reports, dashboards, or other visualizations), in response to customer requirements.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
