This position is in the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection (DCP), Compliance and Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Examinations, DCP Examination Technologies Branch, Examination Systems and Reporting Section, of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in one of the following locations: Washington, D.C., Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX, Kansas City, MO, New York, NY, San Francisco, CA, or Braintree, MA. Salary reflects a pay cap for this position of $275,000.

Duties

Leads in the supervision, administration and control of Section operations. Directs and supervises the Section in support of the Division`s examination and supervision activities. Establishes strategic plans and oversees the road map for examination systems and tools. Collaborates with partners in the Chief Information Officer Organization (CIOO), Division of Information Technology (DIT), Risk Management Supervision (RMS), and others to maintain effective systems, tools, and reporting capabilities. Evaluates current and emerging technology opportunities to facilitate the objectives of the Compliance and CRA Examination Branch. Communicates with Branch, regional, and field staff to identify future opportunities and existing technology pain points. Leads or directs the development of solutions to business lines and administrative operations. Leverages information and feedback to evaluate priorities and strategic plans. Represents the Division in FDIC-only and interagency activities discussing examination systems and tools. Assists in maintaining relationships and communications with other Federal agencies, state regulatory agencies, and other Divisions within the FDIC. Independently prepares and/or reviews written recommendations and plans for new systems and tools. Coordinates annual and mid-year budget requests with CIOO and DIT to fund new and existing systems and tools. Reviews and provides input to others related to technologies, data management, and common capabilities. Identifies needs for new and modified reports to inform management and staff on applicable activities and trends. Deliver or make reports available that are user friendly and contain valued data. Leverage the use of visualizations in appropriate reports. Speaks at conferences and at meetings with other financial institution regulators and industry representatives about examination systems and tools. Participates in the training of other personnel in both formal and informal settings. Exercises supervisory personnel management authority and performs the full range of performance management duties to include: planning, assigning, and reviewing work products of subordinates; establishing guidelines and performance expectations; and evaluating work performance and providing feedback to others on their performance. Identifies training and developmental needs for staff and provides regular recognition of staff. Works in collaboration with the appropriate Human Resources and Legal staff to administer disciplinary action. Hears and resolves grievances or other disputes as appropriate. Qualifications

To meet the minimum qualifications, applicants must possess the following leadership and technical experiences. These qualifications would typically be gained through through serving in roles that require managing projects/teams or guiding the technical work of others. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Technical Experience 1: Experience in collaborating with other stakeholders in implementing strategic technology plans and monitoring budgets/resources to meet corporate/divisional objectives. Technical Experience 2: Experience in the successful oversight of teams working on concurrent technology projects during the development and delivery of systems, applications, and tools. Technical Experience 3: Experience in identifying and evaluating complex technology options to support well-informed strategic decisions. Technical Experience 4: Experience in communication to diverse audiences of internal and external audiences on technology plans, opportunities, and challenges. Technical Experience 5: Experience in providing guidance and direction on data management to ensure users have comprehensive information available to effectively conduct business activities. Selective Placement Factor: Candidates must be a Commissioned Risk Management or Compliance Examiner in the FDIC or another organization with comparable commissioning criteria used by the FDIC.
