This position is established to provide clerical and administrative support to Director, Office of International Activities, and the Director, Office of Policy and Plans. This includes by carrying out and coordinating all the clerical and day-to-day administrative support activities which are typically required to accomplish the work of the organization.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements.
To qualify for the GS-07, you must have at least one year of equal or equivalent experience equal to the GS-06, which includes:
Experience in the use office automation applications and systems to prepare materials and documents in various formats.
Experience using computerized tracking systems to monitor the status of actions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of the mission, functions and organization structure of the organization sufficient to provide advice and assistance to the supervisor in identifying and resolving a variety of administrative problems; to gather information from subordinates on administrative reporting problems; and to advise and recommend improvements in administrative practices to facilitate the work.
Skill in the use of personal computers and organizational office automation applications to include PowerPoint, Excel, Word, spreadsheet, database, graphics and presentation, electronic mail system, and other applications as specified by the organization.
Ability to convey instructions and to organize thoughts clearly and logically, both orally and in writing.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
