Duties
As a Director Multifamily Asset and Counterpart Oversight Division, you will:
Define broad policy objectives of the Division to effectuate legislative, regulatory, and administrative goals, policies, and procedures with respect to the assigned programs.
Direct the development of criteria, instructions, and guidelines to achieve the goals and mission of the Office of Asset Management & Portfolio and the Office of Multifamily Housing Programs.
Direct the development and implementation of training curricula for use by Headquarters and field staff with respect to the program and operational jurisdiction of the Division.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is one year of experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes:
Experience in the oversight and evaluation of use-restricted multifamily rental properties and/or commercial, conventional, and/or FHA multifamily loans.
Examples of such experience could include:
Working with Federal, State, or local laws, regulations, policies, procedures or agreements, in connection with, conventional market rate, or affordable multifamily housing programs; OR
Managing and overseeing offices and staff who have responsibility for the evaluation and validation of the performance of federally assisted properties; OR
Interacting with other Federal, State, local, or private entities, that are active in multifamily asset management or oversight; OR
Evaluating troubled multifamily assets or defaulted multifamily loans to determine the root cause of distress.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15 you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
