About the Position: Incumbent must independently define program objectives, develop the program plan, organize and schedule activities, execute the plan, analyze data, and prepare required reports and/or documentation that provides valid assessments, sound conclusions, and innovative recommendations.
Duties
As a Training Specialist, you will perform the following duties which is not an all-inclusive list:
Provide information and instruction to ensure understanding of sexual harassment/assault response prevention reporting procedures.
Ensure courseware and delivery methods are presented accurately due to the sensitive nature and legal implication of the curriculum.
Apply instructional methods to the delivery of course material to ensure audience is engaged in the learning process.
Provide program guidance regarding sexual harassment/assault reporting and confidentiality procedures.
Serve as subject matter expert for training and instructional delivery to ensure understanding and requirements for the sexual harassment/assault response prevention instructions are met.
Apply resident instructional guidance to a group of training educators learning to train other organizational employees.
Utilize program requirement and procedures in order to accomplish the mission of the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Programs of Instruction (POI).
Ensure compliance with approved sexual harassment, sexual assault response prevention program initiatives.
Provide guidance to students and ensures training is conducted in accordance with regulations and program instructions.
Act as a mentor and counselor to students while establishing standards of conduct and leadership.
Deliver course curricula as an instructor in an adult learning environment to meet course learning objectives.
Counsel Students on their performance in order to provide feedback on their coursework.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance throughout the duration of employment.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
All Applicants must meet time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements with thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcement.
Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the minimum qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
