About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Operations Division with 302nd Battalion at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Maryland.

Duties

Manage the activities and workflow of Department of the Army civilians and military employees and conduct training programs for the civilian and military personnel assigned to the 302d Signal Battalion's Establish training requirements of assigned personnel, the installation of new equipment, modification of operational techniques, etc., through the conduct of studies or surveys and discussions with supervisory and operating personnel. Prepare the summary of the results and makes recommendations for improvement in instructional methods and performance. Coordinate with personnel of other installation organizations to obtain spaces for students in required courses; develops training schedules to satisfy requirements and prepares budget estimates for the projected schedules Review manuals or handbooks from the manufacturer to ascertain specific training programs needed in operating procedures and develop course materials including visual aids and handouts that are easily understandable Direct, coordinate, and present as the instructor the military and civilian training of mandatory subjects such as the code of conduct, SHARP, EO/EEO, Suicide Prevention, and other related subjects. Administers the Digital Training Management System (DTMS) which records the training program achievements and unit member performance. Ensures all subordinate programs receive an external evaluation (EXEVAL) annually and are scheduled and coordinated prior to execution.

For this job, you must meet the qualifications requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
