About the Position: The Alaska District is seeking to fill a Project Manager position located in the Military Projects Management Branch. An ideal candidate has strong experience managing projects or a background managing construction projects. Candidate must be able to build a committed team, resolve conflicts, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Duties

This is a developmental position; duties listed below will be performed in a developmental capacity at the GS-11 grade level. At the full performance, GS-12, the incumbent will: Serves as Project Manager/Project Manager Forward responsible for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of assigned projects. Coordinates the planning, design, cost engineering, construction, and environmental restoration, etc., for engineering projects of substantial scope, sensitivity and complexity. Controls and manages project milestones and budgets from project initiation to close-out. Represents the District Commander at a remote location, serving as the District’s primary point of contact for projects assigned with sponsor/customer.
