The position is located within the Office of Facility Management (AMP-1) in the Architecture and Engineering Division (AMP-400). The Interior Designer serves as an Assistant Space Manager with responsibility for the administration of space planning and interior design services.
Duties
The Interior Designer serves as an Assistant Space Manager with responsibility for the administration of space planning and interior design services. The Assistant Space Manager performs specialized work and applies advanced knowledge of assigned space management, interior design duties, regulations, policies, codes, CAD standards, and procedures associated with interior design and project implementation for commercial and/or federal buildings. Serves as a contributor on significant work activities or as a member of a team or as a project manager. May provide instruction and guidance to less-experienced professionals on various projects and work assignments; tracks and analyzes data to ensure compliance with policies and procedures; identifies, analyzes, and recommend solutions for complex/difficult problems; and recommend improvements to processes and on space planning and interior design.

- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
- A one-year probationary period may be required.

Qualifications
TO QUALIFY AT THE FV-H (FG/GS-12) LEVEL, you must demonstrate in your application you possess at least one year of Specialized Experience equivalent to FV-G or (FG/GS 10/11) level. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE includes experience applying architectural design principles, advanced design analysis, and application of interior design and space management. Interior design functions such as design, development, evaluation, and installation of space planning and furniture. Utilize Archibus FM to record the facility space layouts and assignments.ALSOQUALITY RANKING FACTOR (QRF):Well-qualified applicants must possess experience in space management, furniture design, and the preparation of furniture acquisition packages. They will have experience in small to mid-sized, new, or renovated facilities, including administrative, technical, and adult training facilities.Applicants should provide examples of Specialized Experience in their Work History.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of the announcement.
