This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Office of Field Operations - HQ in Washington, DC. The incumbent will be responsible for managing the efficient and effective coordination and accomplishment of the planning, scoping, development, construction, and direction of OFO projects, including joint projects between OFO and other program offices in support of new Agency objectives and then continuing these projects for successful ongoing operations.

Duties

As a Senior Project Manager, GS-0301-14, you will be responsible for: Understanding and using standard project management techniques to create a project plan, define the scope, estimate tasks and sequence, track project status and integrate required resources. Working with Agency leadership at project conception to describe project scope outlining problem or opportunity the project addresses, divide project into tasks, estimate resources required (human and otherwise), create a preliminary timeline and baseline plan Researching and/or analyzing problems, issues or program requirements. Projects through completion to ensure project success. Identifying lessons learned for each project and implements them in future projects.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience for GS-14: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: Developing project work plans including explanations of the business needs for the projects, the project milestone schedule, dependencies, stakeholders and beneficiaries, risks and risk mitigation strategies, project metrics, and other administrative project information; Providing guidance and support for operations and activities of the organization; and/or developing and executing communication plans to internal and external stakeholders for organization projects and programs. Developing solutions to resolve program issues or changing requirements. These qualifications must be clearly referenced in your resume. Additional information on the qualification requirements is outlined in the OPM Qualifications Standards Handbook of General Schedule Positions. It is available for your review on OPM's Qualifications web site: Miscellaneous Administration and Program Series 0301 Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME-IN-GRADE: If you are a current career or career-conditional federal employee applying for promotion under Merit Promotion you must have completed a minimum of 52 weeks in positions at the next level lower than the position being filled. All qualification requirements must be met by 11:59 pm (Eastern Time) on 09/03/2024.
