This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Senate Office Buildings.
The incumbent performs assessments, makes recommendations, and coordinates work for interior space changes and renovations, office moves, and provision of furniture and furnishings in support of Senate Office Buildings operations. And plans, coordinates, and monitors projects.
Duties
Work schedule may require some occasionally mandatory overtime on holidays AND weekends.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-13 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position is defined as having experience in (3) of the following below: (experience must be reflected in resume.
1.) Supporting the maintenance and operations of a facility such as resources and materials used for preparing periodic and annual reports on cost factors for projects.
2.) Serving as the expert and overseeing aspects of construction including maintenance, planning, design, construction, renovation and program management.
3.) Performing project management functions, such as establishing and monitoring project timelines and milestones and assigning tasks to employees or contractors.
4.) Managing Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) system and/or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Ex.. (service request and tracking).
Education
Although there is no positive education requirement for this position, a bachelor's degree in a field supportive of facility management is desirable.
