Duties

Direct and manage the installation Food Service program. Plan, develop, and prioritize overall operational and logistics requirements to ensure proper use of food service resources. Oversee that food safety and sanitation programs are in accordance with standards. Perform on-going evaluations of the Installation's food program doctrine, policy, plans, procedures, operations, and support systems with an emphasis on the management. Perform planning for the LRC by analyzing food service mission assignments, establishing program objectives, and developing current and long range plans for accomplishment of assigned functions. Plan and assign work, set priorities, advise employees on program goals and objectives, and make decisions on work problems presented by subordinate employees.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Background Investigation is required.
  • Position requires temporary business travel approximately 25% of the time. Travel may include site visits to stateside and overseas locations.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.
  • Must have or be able to obtain and maintain any food service safety certifications required by TB MED 530-Tri Serviced Food Code and Army Regulation 30-22 Army Food Program.
