This position is located in the Division of Depositor and Consumer Protection, National Center for Consumer and Depositor Assistance, of the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and provides support in the areas of program and policy development and review, and participates in decision-making, relating to emerging deposit insurance coverage issues affecting the Division and FDIC nationwide.

Qualifications
Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Grade 13: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing technical expertise on Deposit Insurance laws, programs or regulations; producing reports from a database management system; and developing guidelines, manuals or other informational tools related to Deposit Insurance and federal consumer protection law.
Grade 14: To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-13 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as is experience providing technical expertise on Deposit Insurance and federal consumer protection laws; reviewing data from inquiries related to deposit insurance issues for potential problems or trends; and developing written guidelines, manuals or other outreach materials and tools related to Deposit Insurance including brochures, manuals, guides, and requirements for the Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator (EDIE).
