This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted position for a BASE SERVICES MANAGER, Position Description Number D2241000 and is part of the 169 FSS, South Carolina Air National Guard.
Duties
This position is located within the Force Support Squadron of the Mission Support Group at an Air National Guard wing. This is an Air National Guard (ANG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification. Its purpose is to analyze and coordinate Base Services functions in support of federal, state, and local missions. The incumbent serves as a point-of-contact for Services-related programs, missions, functions, activities, and events for the wing and its assigned geographically separated units (GSU).

- This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard, required prior to the effective date of placement.

- Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership and employment in the National Guard in the military grade listed in this announcement.

Qualifications
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION OPEN TO AREA OF CONSIDERATION (AOC) 2 ONLY.
AOC Definitions:
Area 1: All current permanent federal technician employees of the South Carolina Air National Guard. (Note-Temporary and Indefinite employees do not meet permanent tenure requirements and will not qualify for this AOC.)
Area 2: All current military members of the South Carolina Air National Guard.
Area 3: US Citizens eligible for immediate membership in the South Carolina Air National Guard.
Min/Max Military Grades: A1C/E-3, TSgt/E-6
Compatible Military Assignments: 3F1X1
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To be rated qualified for this position your resume must show definitively at least 36 months experience in the following- Managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to Base Services or in comparable work or functions. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
MILITARY REQUIREMENTS: Military skill set is determined by AFSC requirements. Upon selection, individuals must be assigned to a compatible military AFSC in accordance with statutes and National Guard Bureau regulations and must obtain/maintain all requirements of the AFSC.
Education
Completion of courses such as the Officer Advanced Course, Squadron Officer School, Command and Staff College, Air and Army War College, National Security Management Course and others of comparable level will be credited at the rate of 1 month of education for two months of specialized experience.
