Duties
You will be responsible for supporting Cybersecurity Officers (CSOs) in executing, implementing, and monitoring the Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) cybersecurity program as well as ensuring compliance of Range Information Systems.
You will identify and resolve highly complex cybersecurity issues to keep information secure, allowing PMRF Information Systems and Range Senor/Data Collection/Communication systems to operate nominally.
You will implement network control mechanisms to manage vulnerabilities within the Range information processing infrastructure.
You will train system users, promote security awareness, and develop procedures to implement security measures to protect information systems and information processing assets.
You will monitor PMRF sensor performance and data networks in an effort to avoid and potential cybersecurity issues or violation.
You will scan networks and systems for their level of vulnerability to threats, identify and assess any emerging vulnerabilities of Range IT systems.

- This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 461, proficiency level Intermediate. The incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- At least one of the following certifications is required: CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, OR CCIE.
Qualifications
For GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing, implementing, and coordinating cybersecurity activities to ensure safety and compliance of Information Technology infrastructure and systems within an organization. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving related to cybersecurity activities.
For GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: interpreting and implementing the required security requirements, regulations and policies to support information assurance programs. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving related to cybersecurity activities.

Education
Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:
GS-11 level only:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
OR
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.
