You will serve as an IT Specialist (APPSW/SYSADMIN) in the Range Systems Department of PACIFIC MISSILE RANGE FACILITY.

Duties

You will be responsible for the initiation, coordination, acquisition, acceptance, integration, testing, evaluation, security compliance, programming and management of all range network and IT systems. You will serve as IT manager, senior programmer and IT technical consultant responsible for planning, directing, guiding and coordinating the efforts of a team of IT specialists engaged in executing application software and network responsibilities. You will provide guidance on software development, analysis, functionality, design, concepts, software testing and evaluation, quality assurance, Cybersecurity, requirements/threat analysis, documentation and systems integration. You will provide technical expert responsible for researching, planning, coordinating and tracking the implementation of new/advanced networks and range application software. You will serve as a subject matter expert for a wide variety of studies and projects regarding the operation, management and maintenance of network and software development. You will lead and conduct the planning, analysis, design, development, testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation, implementation, integration, maintenance, and management of range networked systems and software applications. You will identify, evaluate, coordinate and recommend technological updates and changes having a major impact on current network services and software sustainment and/or development. You will coordinate, plan, implement, manage, track and evaluate large scale and extremely complex range application software development or network support projects and their associated requirements and risks. You will define requirements and stakeholder needs and constraints and apply overall architecture principles to develop and manage technical requirements and achieve the appropriate balance among resources, schedule and technical requirements.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning and developing enterprise networking IT infrastructure by managing software applications and design, database design and implementation, and installation of new and upgraded computer based information systems. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
