You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN) in the ENGINEERING and INSTALLATION DIVISION of NAVWARSYSCEN PACIFIC SAN DIEGO CA.

Duties

You will manage, lead, and, perform work that involves developing, delivering or supporting IT systems and services. You will provide expert technical and programmatic advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and stakeholders on critical IT issues. You will lead and complete multidimensional, complex tasks with multiple dependencies independently, mentor others regularly ensuring appropriate succession, and lead others to accomplish complex, cross-organizational goals.

Qualifications

Your resume must have one year of information technology related experience in the federal service or private or public sector demonstrating the following four competencies, as defined: 1. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware and software to ensure the availability and functionality of systems. 2. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Apply oral and written communication kills to interface effectively with personnel at all levels and has proven ability to support briefings or presentations to mid- to high-level stakeholders 3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Manage, lead, and, perform work that involves developing, delivering or supporting IT systems and services. 4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Provide expert technical and programmatic advice, guidance, and recommendations to management and stakeholders on critical IT issues. In addition your my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, Your resume must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-12 or pay band NO-04 in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector (PASTE SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE experience as site Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and/or Information System Security Engineering (ISSE); experience with developing and executing cybersecurity policy; providing system administration for IT systems.
