This position is located at the Outdoor Recreation, Fort Buchanan, Building 608, South Terminal Road. Duties

Opens and/or closes facilities by locking/unlocking doors and windows, and assuring security system is operable. Collects applicable fees for items issued, accounts for monies collected safeguards funds and makes daily bank deposits. Arranges furniture and equipment for various types and sizes of events; puts up and takes down special event decorations. Operates equipment and performs self-help maintenance on facilities and equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Physical Effort: Must be able to lift or move objects of over 50 pounds unassisted.
• Work schedule may be irregular. The incumbent may be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events, varying or rotating shifts at on-post and off-post locations.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• Working Conditions: Works indoors and outdoors. May be exposed to adverse weather conditions when working outdoors. Exposed to drafts, noise, dust, and dirt. Possibility of bruises, muscle strains, cuts and scrapes.
• Must have and retain a valid drivers license.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements: Demonstrated ability to performs the duties described above. Must have and retain a valid drivers license. HIGHLY PREFERRED Are those candidates that possess both the minimum qualifications above and all of the following: Experience with events coordination and preparation to include assembly and disassembly of tents, jumping houses, decorations, etc. Ability to perform minor equipment repairs. Examples of such equipment are water pressure machines, lawn mowers, etc. PLEASE NOTE: A valid driver's license must be submitted with application in order to be considered for this position.
