This position is located in the Office of Sexual Assault Prevention and Response (SAPR), Peace Corps HQ, Washington DC. SAPR coordinates all aspects of the agency's work in sexual assault prevention, response to sexual assault incidents, and policy development. The Director of SAPR collaborates with senior management to ensures that the Peace Corps program and agency culture is based on industry standards in survivor-centered, trauma-informed approach to sexual assault prevention and response.
Duties
The Director (Office of Sexual Assault Prevention & Response) reports to the Chief of Staff and serves as a part of the Peace Corps' senior leadership team. The incumbent maintains a comprehensive understanding of the Peace Corps' programs and operations that support the prevention of sexual assault and response services for Volunteers. The incumbent keeps the Director, Deputy Director, Chief of Staff, and other senior managers informed of concerns, trends, deficiencies, successes, best practices, and all other matters concerning the agency's sexual assault prevention and response program as outlined in the agency's SAPR strategy.

Specialized Experience:
This vacancy is being announced at one grade level: FP-1
Specialized Experience at the FP-1(GS-15): To be minimally qualified for this position at the FP-1 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression, FP-2 or GS-14 level which is in or directly related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience includes: representing the agency on intra-governmental working groups and task forces and, when authorized, speaks on behalf of the agency. The incumbent identifies areas for improvement, where possible, and makes recommendations to strengthen the Peace Corps' work in sexual assault prevention and response.
