You will serve as an INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the ORDNANCE PROGRAM of NMC CWD DET NORTH ISLAND.

Duties
You will receive, review, process, and monitor incoming requisitions and takes appropriate action to ensure completion.
You will respond to due-in, load schedule/plan, vessel allowances, Foreign Military Sales (FMS), renovation, rework, assembly/disassembly, researching, and coordination corrections as needed to ensure appropriate financial data is applied.
You will use technical publications and system reports to review assets of age-sensitive material.
You will take appropriate action to correctly classify material on automated records and schedule necessary physical changes with the appropriate asset control team.
You will develop and maintain visual magazine and warehouse grids reflecting space occupied, hazard class, compatibility groups and Net Explosives Weight (NEW).
You will research data, and compile and produces reports on space utilization, storage capabilities, space availability, storage compatibility, magazine data, and railcar location and availability.
You will review and implement detailed load plans and schedules.
You will analyze results of inventory reconciliation to identify causes of discrepancies and recommend appropriate changes to processes, procedures, or automated systems.
You will monitor and resolve overaged in transit shipments.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
Qualifications
For the GS-09: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector coordinating inventory management operations to analyze requirements and monitor the receipt, storage, and availability of materials (e.g., ordnance, ammunition, arms, explosives) to ensure accurate control, safety and record keeping of a command's inventory.
For the GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing reports and schedules for inventory management operations to support the receipt and storage materials (e.g., ordnance, ammunition, arms, explosives) to ensure accurate control, safety and record keeping of a command's inventory.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-09:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree;
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree;
OR
