Duties
Supervises planning and sustainment personnel responsible for the establishment of current and future shop requirements of DLA and Non-DLA managed materials.
Provides oversight of material supportability planning and analysis for project and shop workloads and resolves issues impacting supply needs
Maintains DLA’s mission, functions and responsibilities to support the Industrial Activities’ (IA) mission.
Directs the Planning team in providing timely material support forecasts to ensure future workload accomplishment.
Analyzes and reviews supportability planning documents and develops or determines applicable availability strategy to ensure necessary material is available by coordinating parts/material support for aircraft repair/...
cont. maintenance production schedules and scheduling phased requirements.
Collaborates with key civilian and military personnel to ensure accuracy of scheduled phased requirements and timely deliveries of material to support IA production.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
Experience with established production methods and procedures, and material requirements for the support/repair/modification of a variety of aircraft, engines, and related end items.
Experience with demand, supply and material support planning
Experience in planning and coordinating material actions
Experience with various supply and production management automated systems/products and their interrelationships to effectively plan material support
Experience in wholesale/retail supply functions

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
