You will serve as a ACADEMIC SERVICES SPECIALIST in the PROVOST OFFICE of the NAVAL POSTGRADUATE SCHOOL.
Duties
You will oversee graduations, ceremonies and selections for special awards protocol and documentation.
You will coordinate event calendars, assist with publications posted on the school website, and compose and send out campus announcements.
You will assist with the Provost's correspondence and presentations, proofread correspondence for the Provost's signature, and proofread the work of others before submitting to the Provost.
You will ensure faculty personnel files are maintained, oversee the faculty Pay, promotion and tenure procedures, and coordinate special awards and sabbatical applications.
You will manage the Provost's calendar, schedules/appointments, and travel arrangements.
You will conduct research and analysis on factors which will impact goals, budget, and operation of the academic departments and programs under the Provost/ Academic Dean.
You will monitor and track expenditures, keep expense records, and submit purchase request for supplies through purchase cardholder.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Supporting official events and ceremonies in accordance with DoD protocol; 2) Utilizing knowledge of federal accounting, budget and supply procurement processes to support multi-departmental requests; 3) Managing organizational administrative functions (e.g., files, timekeeping, travel, appointments, etc.) to ensure accuracy and meet established deadlines; and 4) Creating and proofreading official correspondence, reports, and memo, etc. utilizing automated system and business software.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience. Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
