You will serve as an IT Specialist (Information Security) in the Cloud Services & Infrastructure Branch, Digital Transformation Division, Fleet Readiness Department at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Keyport, Washington (NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV KEYPORT WA).
Duties
You will evaluate the security of information systems using established processes and automated tools.
You will prepare documentation in accordance with approved certification and accreditation processes to record compliance status with Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DoN) requirements.
You will investigate non-compliance issues and provide recommendations to effect compliance with DoD and DoN requirements.
You will negotiate with system developers to effect implementation of recommendations.
You will participate in collaboration meetings with Fleet Cyber Command and Certification Authority personnel.
You will support Branch projects related to improvements to internal and external processes related to Information Assurance.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 461 level Intermediate within 6 months of appointment.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Leading Information Technology (IT) program services to maintain the integrity and availability of systems, networks or data through accreditation processes, compliance auditing, or review of cybersecurity systems for an organization. Examples of Qualifying Experience may include analyzing, assessing, and documenting cyber security/information assurance capabilities and services; ensuring compliance with cyber security/information assurance requirements; resolving vulnerabilities in information technology systems; ensuring networks are certified and accredited for information security; providing authoritative advice or guidance on a wide variety of cyber security/information assurance issues; and proving recommendations on new approaches to delivering cyber-related infrastructure services. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
