This position is located at US Mint,Manufacturing Directorate - West Point - Internal Controls Division. As a/an Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist, you will serve as the Division Supervisor over two (2) Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist , GS-2010-11, eight (8) Inventory Management Specialists, GS-2010-09, with one (1) Management/Program Analyst, GS-0343-13, with one (1) Inventory Management Specialist, GS-2010-12, and with one (1) Supply Technician, GS-2005-09.
Duties
As a/an Supervisory Inventory Management Specialist, you will:
Oversee the activities and initiatives relating to the supply, management, and control of precious metal numismatic and bullion inventories.
Oversee the control and management of semi-finished and finished goods precious metal inventories.
Develop various strategies, techniques, and procedures to improve the process flow of precious metals from receipt of raw materials to the finished goods inventory stage, and final shipment.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 14 days of the closing date of this announcement.
The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13grade level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position includes:
Overseeing the implementation of inventory management policies and procedures; AND
Planning, determining, and supervising the distribution and positioning of supplies; AND
Researching the efficiency and effectiveness of program operations (i.e., internal activities or functions such as supply, budget, procurement, or property management); AND
Providing recommendations on inventory levels and practices pertaining to inventory management.
In addition to meeting specialized experience, applicants must also show proficiency in 1) attention to detail, 2) customer service, 3) oral communication, and 4) problem solving.
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.
