This position is located at Departmental Offices, Management CFO - Office of Strategy, Planning, and Performance Improvement. This position oversees the development and implementation of policy that directly impacts Enterprise Risk Management of Treasury and the Program Management Improvement and Accountability Act, including designating portfolios of critical programs and projects and conducting portfolio reviews of Treasury's critical program and projects.

Duties

As a Risk Analyst, you will: Plan, develop, recommend, coordinate, and implement risk management policies and strategies. Compare existing Treasury program-level risk management practices against public and private sector (best practices) to propose improvements as needed. Review existing program-level risk reporting, and work to enhance risk reporting where necessary. Develop Treasury-wide risk monitoring reports, including detailed risk assessments. Conduct complex and authoritative research and develop products relating to the strategic plan and objectives that affect the risk exposure of Treasury programs.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:For the GS-14: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Successful experience can be gained in the Federal service or its equivalent in state or local government or private sector organizations. Specialized experience includes all of the following: - Leading the formulation, analyses, and implementation of risk management policies and strategies; AND - Implementing standards and guidelines for program and project management; AND - Developing and implementing policy guidance and instruction for an organization or management team in such areas as: risk management or project management. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resumé. TIME-IN-GRADE: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. TIME AFTER COMPETITIVE APPOINTMENT: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
