This position is located within the Area Support Services Division. This Division provides leadership, direction, and supervision in transporting items, records management, property management, vehicle management, and manual issuance control. This Division also provides general support and assistance to the Area and Service Unit Staff. Provide general and logistical support in the areas of mail management, records management, property management, travel and transportation management,

Duties

Greets all incoming (internal and external) customers in a friendly, professional manner. Receives requests and completes appropriate forms for building and parking access cards, bus cards, and keys. Prepares daily outgoing mail and delivers to the maildrop at the COB. Physical receiving agent verifying and accepting delivered goods, completing a Physical Receiving and Inspection Report for all incoming goods within prescribed time frames and consistent with all policies, laws, regulations, and guidelines. Serve as an alternate Records Management Liaison including the creation, dissemination, research, storage, and disposition of Federal records. Conducts program outreach coordinates training, develops metrics, and ensures compliance with Federal laws, regulations, guidelines, and advising as a subject matter expert. Serves as File Manager for the Support Services Department.

Qualifications

To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-05: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Greets all incoming (internal and external) customers in a friendly, professional manner. Sorts and prepares incoming and outgoing mail for the Area Office. Prepares, coordinates, and completes travel arrangements for Division staff. Schedules meetings and tracks vehicle use, and conference room availability. -OR- Successfully completed four (4) years of education beyond the high school level. Education is obtained from an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Must submit Transcripts) A combination of education and experience when combined fully meet the minimum qualifications for this position. Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience required. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for the GS-05 grade level. (Must submit Transcripts) MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: Greets all incoming (internal and external) customers in a friendly, professional manner. Sorts and prepares incoming and outgoing mail for the Area Office. Prepares, coordinates, and completes travel arrangements for Division staff. Schedules meetings and tracks vehicle use, and conference room availability. -OR- Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 1 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. Time In Grade Federal employees in the competitive service are also subject to the Time-In-Grade Requirements: Merit Promotion (status) candidates must have completed one year of service at the next lower grade level. Time-In-Grade provisions do not apply under the Excepted Service Examining Plan (ESEP). You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.
