This position is located in Deputy Commandant for Mission Support, Director of Operational Logistics, Office of Base Operations (DOL-3), Base Portsmouth, Portsmouth, VA.
Duties
This position is responsible for performing the duties of a Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR), maintenance and repair of buildings, roads, grounds, various mechanical, environmental (including Radon abatement systems), sanitary, and electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, major electrical appliances and circuitry.

- This position requires a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
- The position requires a pre-employment physical.
Qualifications
To Qualify for the GS-09 Grade Level, Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-08 grade level in the federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
Examples of specialized experience include:
Reviewing contract payments
Drafting correspondence or procurement documents
Testing operation, installation, maintenance, repair and modification of equipment and systems for all shore facilities
Maintenance and repair of buildings, roads, grounds, various mechanical, environmental and electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, major electrical appliances and circuitry
Responding to facilities trouble calls, determining and taking appropriate action to support a positive work environment for building occupants
OR
Master's or equivalent graduate degree -or- 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree LL.B. or J.D., if related
OR
Combination of specialized experience and graduate level education that meets 100% of the qualification requirements for this position.
