About the Position: You will serve as the Administrative Officer for Coyote Valley Dam/Lake Mendocino providing support to the Operations Project Manager. Accomplishing a broad range of administrative management work, with principal personal responsibility in receiving reports, inventory management and timekeeping.

Duties

Provide administrative advice and counsel in the planning, directing, and coordination of the procedural and administrative functions of the Operations and Readiness Division. Participates in all fiscal functions involving establishment of operating budgets. Prepare correspondence in final form, prepare public notices for mailing, receive visitors and phone calls and review and analyze budget formulation. Prepares annual Division departmental overhead operating budget from general budget guidance memorandums. Maintain the Division's property book account, conducting inventories as required or requested. Provides guidance to Branch Chiefs in estimating their budget requirements for costs distributed in overhead for annual and mid-year budget updates. Attends staff conferences to gather information for, perform studies, and offer guidance and future direction on various issues. Oversee all clerical, timekeeping and administrative duties for the Division. Prepares formal and informal reports. Processes incoming and outgoing mail. Prepare of the annual operating budget. Coordinates and schedules office moves and space utilization.

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 5 % of the time.

  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 25 lbs.
  • This position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Human Resources Management, Organizational Development, or a related discipline to the position. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.). OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
