You will serve as a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST in the NAVY MUNITIONS COMMAND ATLANTIC of NMCLANT DET FORT WORTH TX.

Duties

You will initiate quality control checks to identify problems in various areas such as receiving, requisition processing, exception processing, causative research, etc. You will review and approve adjustment and their reversals, when appropriate, in accordance with the thresholds established in NAVSUP P-724. You will submit reports to chain of command as required by NAVSUP P-724. You will coordinate with appropriate internal and external sources to identify process/systemic problems and develop and implement corrective actions for identified problems. You will elevate any unresolved procedural and/or systemic problems to chain of command after all possible internal solutions have been exhausted. You will participate in those projects and evaluations that may have impact upon inventory accuracy records including major re-warehousing efforts, revisions to receiving/receipt control procedures, etc. You will verify, at least semi-annually, that physical inventory procedures as described in NAVSUP P-724 are followed. You will oversee and be actively involved in all activity sampling and inventory functions. You will review inventory adjustments to determine the accuracy and adequacy of inventory, reconciliation, and research procedures. You will review and approve reversals to inventory adjusts made after 90 days. You will Interact with NAVSUP Ammunition Logistics Center, Ammunition Management Office Atlantic (AMMOLANT), Norfolk, VA to improve the accuracy of the wholesale ordnance (CAIMS) Master Data Files (MDF).

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.

Qualifications

GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with properly accounting for ordnance transfers and identify inaccuracies. Experience successfully identifying trends of inaccuracies and providing a course of action to correct. Experience working with and be familiar with the procedural compliance aspect of ordnance inventory. Experience possessing a working knowledge of NAVSUP P-724. Experience reviewing and analyzing sampling and wall-to-wall inventory results in order to identify and discern trends. Education

GS-11:
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR

OR
A combination of experience and post high school education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
