About the Position: Serves as the Property Accounting Technician, Supply Officer for the US Army Aviation Brigade (TAAB), Airfield Division. Responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of ATC facilities, navigational aids and landing systems supporting airfields.

Duties

Manage an automated multi-million-dollar property book. Monitor all accountable supply transactions, ensures all Table of Distribution and Allowances (TDA) property is on hand or on order. Serve as logistical technical advisor for management by assisting with the interpretation of supply guidance and submits financial and supply reports to Management. Physically inventories ATC Maintenance Branch property, and equipment. Monitor the effectiveness of automated systems and their operations. Reconcile discrepancies by reviewing transactions records.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Pre-employment physical and annual physicals while in the position.
  • Applicant must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license at the time of appointment, must maintain a license while employed in the position.
  • Employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Position is Key and Mission (see additional information).
  • This position is Non-Critical Sensitive (T3), requires an employee to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 2 Certified position.
  • This position has been identified as a crucial position IAW AR 600-85, 5-14 (Table 5-1). This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program.

OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Supply Chain Management or Inventory Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. Specialized Experience GS-12: One year of specialized experience managing complex property accounting and logistical systems, ensuring strategic integration, maintaining critical facilities, resolving inventory discrepancies, operating in various databases, and providing expert technical guidance. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Compliance InspectionInventory ManagementSupply PlanningWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
