As a Business Operations Specialist (Industry Liaison), you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction for OCON to plan, develop, evaluate, and carry out all aspects of the USCIS Industry programs and serve as the Ombudsman to improve quality industry/government communication.
Duties
Provides leadership and direction to plan, develop, evaluate, and carry out all aspects of the USCIS Industry programs.
Develops, conducts, and coordinates high-priority planning and in-depth analysis of major project assignments to gather and evaluate information, set specific goals, assess problem areas and prepare recommendations.
Expands the procurement ombudsman program, finds resolutions to industry related matters and mediates issues when needed.
Meets with many industry leaders and representatives to explain the process of doing business with the department as well as serving as a sounding board for industry concerns.
Plans and executes a variety of events involving various participants and stakeholders such as Annual Industry Days and training opportunities for the acquisition workforce.
Qualifications
The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 08/30/2024.
Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 08/30/2024.
GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties:
Advises on significant program plans and priorities to meet mission objectives and program goals.
Provides advice and guidance on industry related matters.
Serves as an expert advisor to top-level management on industry programs.
