This position is located at US Mint,Manufacturing Directorate - Philadelphia - Facilities Management Division. As an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic, you will be installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting of a variety of complex integrated heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems, i.e., water coolers, cooling towers, refrigerators, and ventilating equipment, all critical to the continued operation of production and administrative functions.
Duties
As an Air Conditioning Equipment Mechanic, you will:
Work primarily installing, maintaining and troubleshooting malfunctions on a variety of systems.
Operate and provide maintenance on high voltage equipment operating at 13,200 volts.
Monitor substations that control the electrical system and batteries used as emergency power supplies.
Balance and make adjustments to complex, integrated HVAC systems to meet climate controlled conditions in production, administrative offices, laboratory, and maintenance areas by changing and monitoring settings on computers, valves, heating and cooling dampers and motors.
Operate and maintain a Waste Water Treatment Plant that filters 50,000 gallons daily

This position requires a Universal Technician Certification as per EPA Section 608. Applicants who do not currently possess the certification will be required to obtain it within one year of appointment to the position.
