You will serve as a MARINE MACHINERY MECHANIC SUPERVISOR I in the MECHANICAL SHOP, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will coordinate with contractor technical representative personnel when assigned to perform troubleshooting, analysis, and/or repairs. You will determine performance of a satisfactory amount and quality of work and review products for acceptability. You will actively support and promote all aspects of the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program. You will motivate subordinates to operate as an effective working unit.

• You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
