About the Position: The mission of the CCAD is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. CCAD is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance.

Duties

Serves as supervisor over an organizational segment or unit and is responsible in planning and directing work operations and exercising administrative authorities. Assigns work to employees and provides technical direction and/or assistance in accomplishing the work. Observes work in progress, investigates work related problems (e.g., excessive costs, low productivity, workload imbalance, space rearrangement, and acquisition or development of specialized tools, etc.) Plans use of subordinate workers' equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis; establishes deadlines, priorities, and work sequences

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintains a personnel security background check (Tier 2 – Non-Sensitive, Moderate Risk – Public Trust).
  • One-year supervisory probationary period may be required.
  • This Position is designated as Drug Testing subject to initial and random drug testing.
  • This position may be required to be on call back and may be required to perform emergency overtime.
  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter.
  • This position is being filled as a 1st shift with the incumbent working 2nd shift as needed.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electrical Equipment Repairer Supervisor without more than normal supervision. Have the ability to lead or supervise. Perform journeymen level electrical equipment repairer on aircraft systems, subsystems and their associated components. Perform a variety of duties to test, troubleshoot, diagnose, overhaul, and repair a variety of complex aircraft electrical components and devices such as servo mechanisms, supervisory control and relaying systems, and other similar complex systems and equipment. Proficient with aircraft electrical equipment repair practices. Experience using test equipment such as oscilloscopes, vacuum tube volt meters, phase angle meters, digital frequency meters, and digital voltmeters to troubleshoot/diagnose malfunctions in feedback loops, phase shifting networks, voltage and current amplifiers, and voltage and current regulating circuits. Experience troubleshooting procedures to isolate faulty or malfunctioning systems, subsystems and components. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
