About the Position: This position serves as the Training Specialist for United States Army Garrison (USAG), Training Division and oversees the military operations, exercises and training functions for the Garrison. Moving expenses are NOT authorized, based on a determination that a move is not in the Government's interest.

Duties

As a Training Specialist, you will perform the following duties to include but not limited the following: Execute the Training Ammunition Management, (TAMIS), the IMCOM Garrison's Army Training Requirements and Resources System (ATRRS) accounts, and provides advice and assistance as required in resolving complaints or difficulties. Prepare the final format of all slides for the Garrison Commander (GC) to present at all required meetings. Review training schedules for compliance with HQDA, AMC, IMCOM training guidance. Serve as the subject matter expert and team leader to establish after action reviews (AAR) for Garrison exercises.

Requirements

  • This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
  • Due to the nature of this position, employees are required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
  • This position is subject to the provisions of the Domestic Violence Offender Gun Ban commonly referred to as the Lautenberg Amendment.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state issued Driver's License.
  • The duties of this position meet the criteria for compliance with Federal and Department of the Army Drug Free Workplace Programs. This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter.
  • Temporary duty travel (5% or less) away from the normal duty station.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • This position may require unscheduled and/or irregular duty hours which may include evenings, weekends and holidays in support of mission requirements.
  • This position has a requirement to lift up to 50 lbs. in the regular performance of duties. Are you willing and able to meet the lifting requirement?
