Duties
As a Resource Management Specialist you will:
Administer the extramural budget and provides a variety of functions involving major grants, cooperative agreements, contracts, interagency agreements, and memoranda of agreement.
Ensure the program objectives are carried out as efficiently and effectively as possible with the maximum utilization of funding resources.
Participate in the budgetary planning of long-term assistance and procurement actions and projections (e.g., multi-year nationwide preventive health services or surveillance grant and cooperative agreement assistance programs).
Serve as project officer for cooperative agreements and/or contracts.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level, which must include the following experience: developing acquisition requests; monitoring contract performance for efficiency and effectiveness in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Copy of your transcripts or equivalent documentation is required for positions with an education requirement, or if you are qualifying based on education or a combination of education and experience. An official transcript will be required if you are selected.
College or university degree generally must be from an accredited (or pre-accredited) college or university recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. For a list of schools which meet these criteria, please refer to
