This position is located in the Office of Small Business and Civil Rights (SBCR), providing oversight for the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Program and Equal Opportunity activities. The supervisor is Jaclyn Storch.
This position is in the Non-Bargaining Unit with the National Treasury Employees Union, Chapter 208.

Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. GG 13 (0260) Civil Rights Specialized Experience: Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to typical of work performed at the next lower grade level (GG-12) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:Reviewing and analyzing discrimination complaint cases; preparing and drafting decision letters; recommending remedial actions; developing policies, procedures, interpretations and guidelines to implement and comply with governing laws and regulations; performing data analysis of civil rights programs and initiatives; coordinating alternative dispute resolution processes/practices; advising management officials on program requirements to include providing quality products, services, and direction on issues related to the administration and management of an EEO program including and the impact of organization policies, plans, practices and decisions on personnel.
GG 12 (0260) Civil Rights Specialist Experience: Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to typical of work performed at the next lower grade level (GG-11) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Reviewing discrimination complaint cases for accuracy; preparing and drafting decision letters; communicating policies, procedures, interpretations and guidelines to implement and comply with governing laws and regulations; supporting data analysis efforts of civil rights programs and initiatives; coordinating alternative dispute resolution processes/practices; providing quality products, services, and direction on issues related to the administration and management of an EEO program.
GG 11 (0260) Civil Rights Specialist Experience: Applicants must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to typical of work performed at the next lower grade level (GG-10) or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Awareness and practical working knowledge of the process and requirements associated with handling discrimination complaint cases; drafting decision letters for review by senior specialist and/or program manager; awareness and applied knowledge of federal EEO policies and procedures, and guidelines; supporting data analysis efforts of civil rights programs and initiatives; awareness and applied knowledge of alternative dispute resolution processes/practices; providing quality products, services, and direction on issues related to the administration and management of an EEO program.
