This position is part of the Department of Defense. The incumbent will be responsible for Defense Human Resources Agency's mission is to provide program support, information management, and administrative services to the DoD Components on human resource matters and to collect, archive, and provide management information, research, and analysis of human resources and other related functional area databases for the DoD.
Duties
As a STAFF ADVISOR (BUSINESS OPERATIONS) GS,0301,14, some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as Staff Advisor/coordinator for the Chief of Staff/Director DMDC on assigned projects.
Collaborates across DMDC Directorates for the management of DMDC day-today mission operations, transmits the needs and decisions of the Director to the appropriate staff elements, and provides administrative and operational program direction to various Directors and their staffs.
Supports the development of long-range planning of activities, new initiatives, and program changes. Assists the Chief of Staff in managing the daily basic business of DMDC by overseeing demand and supply plans, projecting future requirements and performance metrics
Supports the Chief of Staff and the Policy Division Director in the development of program formulation and execution, policy and guidance for DMDC.
Develops reviews, evaluates, and analyzes individual DMDC operations relative to the mission of DMDC.
Develops, coordinates, reviews, evaluates, and analyzes the following types of programs, plans, and special projects from a DMDC standpoint: Organizational reviews including mission and functions, restructuring, strategic workforce planning, linking organizational and individual performance management, and results-oriented management initiatives within DMDC.
Participates in DHRA component meeting and may attend high-level meetings of steering committees, councils, and advisory boards, serving as DMDC representative. Meets with other DoD and Federal partner agencies on DMDC program initiatives and collaborates with industry to stay abreast of services pertinent to DMDC's business lines.
Represents DMDC, DHRA and OSD on DoD-level and interagency task forces and working groups at the senior level. Initiates modifications and updates in response to changing requirements, including integrating new functions and programs into DMDC.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Experience working with DoD agencies/organizations to understand terminology, processes, and structure.
Ability to prepare strategic communications for SES leadership.
Skilled at executing projects and schedules to deliver required outcomes.
Able to prioritize their workload and meet changing demands.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT PROFESSIONAL (PMP)
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
