Salary: $117 962 - 153 354 per year

This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Community Planning and Development.

Duties

As a Senior CPD Representative, you will: Through written and oral presentation, respond to telephonic, written or in-person requests from grantees, HUD, state and local and other Federal officials and the public on all HUD programs and program initiatives. Provide support and assistance to grantees in meeting their local community development, affordable housing and homeless needs in a comprehensive, consolidated manner. Review applications or Final Statements for CPD programs and other special discretionary programs. Monitor and evaluate recipients of CPD Programs and other grants. Serve as team leader, working with other CPD Representatives and counterpart staff from other offices within HUD and other agencies to solve particularly complex problems and issues.

Requirements

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: Managing or monitoring community development activities for compliance with program requirements; AND Working in grant application, grant delivery and/or grant execution with community development programs; AND Analyzing issues and translating/implementing community development policies. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
