Duties
As a Supervisory Training Specialist GS-1712-14, your duties will include but are not limited to the following:
Evaluating Office of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion training policies, procedures, curricula, and instructional methods and techniques.
Conducting needs assessment/problem analyses to define discrepancies between desired and actual performance.
Developing and implementing new learning and development strategies and programs based on the needs of the Management Directive-715 goals and other federal objectives.
Providing consultation to internal and external partners on learning needs.
Designing, developing and implementing mandatory and customized courses using multi modal formats driven by instructional systems design approaches.
Requirements
- U.S. Citizenship requirement or proof of being a U.S. National must be met by closing date.
- Employment is subject to the successful completion of the pre-appointment process (i.e., background investigation, verification of qualifications and job requirements, completion of onboarding forms, submission of required documents, etc.)
- Males born after December 31, 1959 must be registered with the Selective Service.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory Training Specialist, position at the GS-1712-14 level, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: evaluating and developing training policies, procedures, methods and techniques; conducting needs assessments and analyzing current and future Management Directive-715 based requirements; working with management and staff officials to develop training and development opportunities; developing course materials, training aides, instructional methods, and other related activities covering training or educational opportunities for an organization; and monitoring and reporting on an organization's employee learning and development program's progress and improvements.
