About the Position:
This position is with the 99th Readiness Division, Supply and Maintenance Division, Directorate of Logistics (DOL), with duty at Richmond, VA.
Duties
Advise on the daily operations of maintenance facilities within the Readiness Division geographical area.
Visit maintenance activities and/or units frequently to ensure compliance with maintenance standards and regulations.
Advise personnel on appropriate repair procedures, shop operations, and other maintenance related matters.
Monitor the Readiness Division maintenance budget to ensure equipment readiness and compliance with budget thresholds.
Draft written instructions and procedures for responding to inquiries and/or providing feedback to the shops and/or units using automated systems.
Maintain extensive knowledge of maintenance operations in order to advise the organization on equipment support mission needs.
Act as liaison with various Army Level organizations to include higher headquarters to ensure equipment maintenance and logistical support has been properly arranged.
Develop work plans to be accomplished by subordinate supervisors and leaders along with adjusting short term priorities as necessary.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance on maintenance, repair, or storage of general and special purpose equipment such as tactical and support vehicles, weapons systems, electronics, and communications equipment; preparing budget formulations; and coordinating maintenance or logistical support. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-11).
