About the Position: Fort Moore is located in the "Tri-Community" comprised of Columbus and Fort Moore, GA; and Phoenix City, AL. Columbus (third-largest city in Georgia) is a growing community.
Duties
Research regulations and administrative requirements regarding various law enforcement issues.
Utilize Military Police administrative services procedures.
Use computers and software programs.
Utilize law enforcement computers and software programs.
Communicate orally and in writing in a clear, concise, and organized manner.
Coordinate all necessary maintenance, repairs, upgrades, new acquisitions and similar services of all related National Crime Information Center (NCIC) equipment.
Provide training in the operation of the National Crime Information Center (NCIC) terminal.
Maintain historical documentation on National Crime Information Center (NCIC) Criminal files for review.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

Current Department of Army Civilian Employees
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience 1) Providing guidance to personnel inquiring about various law enforcement regulations for distribution. 2) Input, verify, and retrieve data from law enforcement systems such as Law Enforcement Reporting System (ALERTS) and Vehicle Registration System (VRS). 3) Review Military Police reports for completeness and compliance with applicable regulations and policies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
