About the Position: This position is located at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCOE), Western Hemisphere Institute for Security Cooperation (WHINSEC) Ft. Moore, Georgia 31905. The "Maneuver Center of Excellence" is located 100 miles south of Atlanta and is adjacent to Columbus, Georgia and Phenix City, Alabama.
Duties
Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of official functions for military and civilian dignitaries.
Performs a variety of tasks relative to the development, coordination, and implementation of plans and itineraries in support of visiting domestic and foreign dignitaries.
Coordinates and prepares appropriate documentation through Army University (Army U) and Combined Arms Center (CAC) for funds to purchase mementos, meals, etc.
Prepares and maintains records and reports required to account for relative expenditures. Assures that all requirements of governing regulations are met.
Purchases supplies, equipment, food, lodging, mementos, gift inventories using simplified purchase procedures using Credit Card Syst
Assist in interpretation and application of national and international rules, procedure and forms prescribing traditional and formal diplomatic customs.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1.) Assisting in the coordination and execution of official functions for military and civilian dignitaries; 2.) preparing and coordinating distinguished visitors' itineraries; 3.) maintaining financial records for authorized expenditures; and 4.) assisting in the application of national/international procedures prescribing traditional and formal diplomatic customs, courtesies, and etiquette. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Selective Placement Factor: Must be able to read, write and speak in Spanish and English fluently.
Proficiency Required:This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
