About the Position:
Serves as Senior Congressional Travel Team analyst, Office of the Chief, Legislative Liaison, Secretary of the Army. The position is located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
Duties
Implement travel policy, plans and/or programs for the legislative liaison office.
Recommend new alternatives to address current or anticipated problems related to the travel program.
Resolve categories of expenditures for congressional travel.
Organize budget data according to appropriations, accounts, object class, and/or line item for all travel matters.
Coordinating with the Travel Management Company (TMC) and ensuring accurate processing of airline reservations.
Carry out specific duties associated with being the Defense Travel System (DTS) Interface Processing Monitor within the General Enterprise Business System (GFEBS).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Travel Required: Up to 5% Business Travel may be required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes apply analytical techniques to identify and resolve issues within the congressional travel program; evaluate various aspects of the travel program to provide recommendations for improvement; assist with the formulation of funding requirements for the travel operating budget; and utilize financial management systems such as the General Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) to track travel funds, disbursements and/or payments. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
