Duties
You will review ship or system specifications, contract plans, schedules, test forms, technical reports, correspondence and other information.
You will identify potential problems in the area requiring special coordination efforts.
You will consult with various specialists at this activity and other government/commercial activities in obtaining necessary guidance and/or direction.
You will maintain daily contact with assigned Module mangers to monitor progress of shipboard work and coordinate resolution of daily problems that have potential impact on schedule.
You will coordinate he effort involved with maintaining the continuity of Submarine Safety (SUBSAFE) , Fly-By- Wire (FBW) certification and Deep Submergence System Scope of Certification .
You will research, collect data and provide written recommendations to upper level management regarding the contractor's right to entitlement.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
Qualifications
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying a comprehensive and intensive practical knowledge of production methods and procedures for the construction, overhaul, or repair of nuclear submarines.
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying knowledge and experience in the construction, overhaul, or repair of submarines to observe and analyze production operations to determine if schedules are being followed.
