This position is in Office of Mission Support. About the Office of Mission Support | US EPA. Qualifications

NOTE:  You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-07 level, you must have one of the following: 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-05 level defined as analyzing or implementing human capital management initiatives. 1 full year of graduate level education; or superior academic achievement (Superior Academic Achievement Definition); the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position equivalent combination of education and experience To qualify for the GS-09 level, you must have one of the following: 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-07 level defined as analyzing or implementing human capital management initiatives and assessing staffing requirements. master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related; the education must provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position equivalent combination of education and experience NOTE: 1 year of full-time undergraduate study is 30 semester or 45 quarter hours. 1 year of full-time graduate education is the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study; if that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours is considered 1 year of full-time study. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:  Knowledge of position management principles, concepts, practices and techniques sufficient to assist management in establishing organizational structures that are efficient and support desired grade level Knowledge of human resources laws, policies, practices and methods in order to support assigned organization's programs Knowledge of human capital management concepts, principles and practices to assist management officials in conducting human capital management programs Knowledge of management principles and methods, planning and program goals, objectives and requirements to identify and analyze routine problems in organizational structure, staffing, administrative procedures, or work process Skill in researching Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, SharePoint, and OneDrive Skill in written communication Skill in oral communication Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
