About the Position: Principle advisor to the Garrison Emergency Operations Center during emergency/ contingency conditions and on a day-to-day basis, working projects such as Weapons of Mass Destruction Response Planning, Biological and Nuclear incident response planning and prevention, and various related standard operating procedures.
Duties
Responsible for the preparation of all installation operations and plans in support of continuity of operations.
Facilitates for the installation executive agency responsibilities in the areas of combating terrorism/force protection and domestic emergencies.
Acts as the installation's executive agent for Military Assistance to Civil Authorities (MACA) for domestic emergencies, combating terrorism/weapons of mass destruction, and force protection related incidents consistent with policy guidance.
Oversees the Combating Terrorism program for the installation and supports the installation operational security program.
Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent may be required to obtain and maintain a T3 secret security clearance.
- This is a key position. This position may require performance of temporary duty to participate in training and exercise planning and execution.
