About the Position: Manage a Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) program for serviced population at Fort Greely. Duties

Serves as the point of contact for advising and coordinating care to sexual harassment complainants and sexual assault victims. Maintains liaison with the Provost Marshal/CID, medical, and legal services, and commanders to facilitate immediate response and accurate reporting of sexual assault incidents. Tracks services provided to victims of sexual assault from initial report of sexual assault through disposition and resolution of the victim's health and well-being. Provides training and technical assistance to ensure understanding of the reporting procedures, confidentiality, and other elements of the SHARP program.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Obtain and maintain a minimum of secret security clearance based on a Tier 3 background investigation, or equivalent, and enrollment in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program.
  • Submit to a State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) Check for all states of residence in the previous five years.
  • Must attend and graduate from required SHARP training courses within six months of employment.
  • Must maintain an active D-SAACP certification and up-to-date commander appointment orders prior to having any victim contact or access to victim information.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • May be subject to occasional 24/7 on-call SARC responsibilities.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting training on sexual assault and/or sexual harassment; conducting studies, organizational reviews, or workforce analysis for a Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention Program; or participating in prevention activities in an effort to reduce or eliminate sexual harassment and sexual assault within an organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Behavioral Science, Counseling or Social Work. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: AccountabilityCommunications and MediaIncident ManagementSexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the second lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
