This position is located at US Mint,Office of the Director - Sales and Marketing Directorate. As a Associate Director for Sales and Marketing (Chief Marketing and Sales Officer), you will oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle of numismatics (demand, design, schedule, supply, quality, sales, pricing, marketing, and P&L), and develop and oversee Service Level Agreements (SLA) of numismatic manufactured products.

Duties

As a Associate Director for Sales and Marketing (Chief Marketing and Sales Officer), you will: Optimize Sales and Marketing programs by evaluating and establishing best practices; build collaborative relationships with individuals, teams, groups and partners outside of the Sales and Marketing Directorate to accomplish United States Mint goals. Direct the development of marketing product plans to include strategies and tactical planning targeted toward growing the United States Mint's customer base and enhancing revenue. Provide oversight for all interrelated e-commerce activities, including enhanced customer support, tools and analytics, content strategy, new product launches, reporting and planning and effective direction to the Mint.gov website to improve Sales and Marketing efforts. Ensure the efficient performance of all support contractors, including establishing and monitoring monthly quarterly annual performance metrics, budgets, and plans; and ensure the efficient and effective operation of the call center and fulfillment center operated by contract obligations, which includes all aspects of the customer experience, including the research of customer orders, responses to inquiries from customers and oversight organizations. Monitor overall product portfolio, including individual product revenue and margins making recommendations to senior leadership at least annually for sun-setting active products and launching new products.

The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. Identify what the challenge was, the context or environment you were operating in/under, the specific actions you took and what the results of those actions were. Each of the following competencies are the foundation for success in each of the Executive Core Qualifications: Interpersonal Skills, Oral Communication, Written Communication, Integrity/Honesty, Continual Learning, and Public Service Motivation. The essay competencies address the Executive Core Qualifications (ECQ's). Your responses are required for each of these ECQ's, unless you have had your ECQ's previously certified by an Office of Personnel Management Qualifications Review Board (QRB) for the Senior Executive Service (SES). ECQ 5: BUILDING COALITIONS - This core qualification involves the ability to build coalitions internally and with other Federal agencies, state and local governments, nonprofit and private sector organizations, foreign governments, or international organizations to achieve common goals. *Current and former SES members and graduates of approved Candidate Development Programs do not need to submit ECQ narratives but you must clearly state your status in your resume. However, ALL CANDIDATES must submit narrative responses for the Technical Qualifications listed below. Mandatory Technical Qualifications (TQs): All applicants must submit a written narrative response to the following TQs. Please give examples and explain how often you used your skills, the complexity of the knowledge possessed, the level of people you interacted with, the sensitivity of the issues you handled, etc. Narrative statements may NOT exceed 2 pages for each individual TQ. IF YOU EXCEED THESE LIMITS YOU WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED. TCQ 1: Demonstrated expertise in sales and business development in a geographically dispersed organization. TCQ 2: Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of sales strategies, marketing plans, internet/brick and mortar sales projections, and overall sales growth in a large organization. TCQ 3: Direct and Indirect Sales Industry knowledge - including key terminology; circulating, numismatic, bullion, currency, market trading (sales) and, knowledge of primary customer industries and competitors. TCQ 4: Knowledge of sales lead generation tools to effectively manage a sales pipelines, division sales goals, and budgets for a geographically dispersed organization that has a direct impact on the economy of the United States.
